Compliance with RoHS environmental standards for elimination of hazardous materials – such as heavy metals including lead, flame retardant materials and other carcinogenic materials – from products is required by July 2006.

In our products, the color concentrates and the jacket resins were our biggest problem,” Jeff Grocki, Quality Assurance, C&M Corporation, said. “By reformulating these, we were able to remove the hazardous materials and meet compliance standards on our bulk cable.”

C&M produces its own bulk cables as well as cost-effective finished assemblies. This high degree of vertical integration makes it possible for C&M to customize products according to customer requirements. The possibilities range from nonstandard lengths to custom breakouts.
