C&M Flex, Bend and Torsional Testing Capabilites

There are numerous ways of evaluating the performance of industrial cable designs subject to motion, namely torsion testing, c-track testing and tic-toc testing. Each test has a specific purpose. The tic-toc tester has a travel of +/-90 degrees that is able to simulate flex life in a real world assembly application. Our C-Track tester is designed with 20 foot controlled travel to simulate cable flex under continuous motion conditions while the cable is contained in plastic track material. C&M’s torsion testing capability applies a twisting motion to a cable as it might see in a nut-runner factory application. The torsion test evaluates how well the cable design resists the cable’s natural tendency to wrap into tight knots and the cable’s ability to absorb tensile forces applied to the cable. C&M’s extensive flex testing capabilities allow us to assure our products meet or exceed the needs of our customer base with cable flex and life requirements.
